Digital travel platform Agoda launches 2021 Global Coding Competition
Agoda launches its Codegoda, global programing competition calling for software developers and engineers around the world to take part in and compete to solve algorithmic challenges. With a time limit of five hours, entrants can find solutions to the issues using programming languages of their choice, including C++, Python, Java, Swift, Javascript, and more. The competition will be held on 17 July 2021 starting at 2pm ICT. These challenges are set by Agoda’s best-in-class tech team who help power global travel at scale managing 1,000 experiments running in parallel at any given time, and 1,200 deployments every day. Agoda Sustainable Travel Trends Survey reveals people’s top concerns about tourism’s impact, and measures to make travel more sustainable
Easy identification of sustainable eco-friendly travel options, limited use of single-use plastics and financial incentives for accommodation providers who maximize energy efficiencies are the top three additional measures needed to make travel more sustainable according to Agoda’s Sustainable Travel Trends Survey. Establishing more protected areas to limit tourist numbers and removal of single-use bathroom amenities round out the top five global measures. 2021 is going to be a year focusing on loved ones and making a difference. As we usher in 2021, one in three people are most looking forward to spending more quality time with loved ones this year. This is followed by being able to travel unhindered (24%) and doing things that matter or make a difference (21%), according to a global survey from digital travel platform, Agoda .
