‘Give With Ikhlas’ donation fund reaches Orang Asli communities in Pahang

A total of over 1,700 Orang Asli families in Jerantut and Temerloh, Pahang received basic necessities aid through the ‘Give with Ikhlas’ digital donation initiative conducted by IKHLAS to foster the spirit of giving during the month of Ramadan.

Each family received a food basket consisting of rice, sugar, flour, cooking oil, instant noodles, coffee & tea, biscuits and canned food.

Ikhlas Kamarudin, Head of IKHLAS said, “We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, whose words of wisdom have given us strong inspiration and encouragement to help the Orang Asli communities as an extension of our current network of charity programme.

“We would also like to thank everyone who had joined forces to enable us to reach out to the less fortunate and the frontliners whilst supporting local businesses during this holy month of Ramadan, especially to our main collaborator Yayasan Amanah Assofwah Almalikiyyah who has been instrumental towards this campaign. We will continue our efforts to distribute more necessities nationwide, and would like to thank the public again for their support and contribution towards our cause.”

The project was supported by various government agencies including the Orang Asli Development Department (JAKOA), the Royal Malaysian Police, Malaysia Civil Defence Force, District Local Councils, the Pahang State Executive Council, as well as air transportation courtesy of Charter Group Aero Sdn Bhd.

To date, the ‘Give with Ikhlas’ campaign received over MYR759,000 through its public digital online initiative.
