The Ministry of Health (MOH) is pleased to inform that today Malaysia reported 674 COVID-19 recovery cases. Therefore, cumulatively 18,499 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.6% of total cumulative cases).
A total of 835 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 28,640 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 9,903 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the 835 additional cases reported today, five (5) is an imported case who was infected overseas.
Currently, 89 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 32 patients on ventilation support.
Regretfully, two (2) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 238 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (0.8% of total cumulative cases).
