Football’s oldest and most famous domestic knockout competition, The Emirates FA Cup, is embarking on its first-ever Asia-Pacific Trophy Tour from 21 January to 29 January 2023. For the first time in its 150-year history, the Emirates FA Cup trophy will visit Malaysia, with an event being hosted in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday 25 January, allowing fans to get up close and personal with one of the most iconic pieces of silverware in world sport.
The tour is set to begin in Sydney on 23 January. The cup then arrives Kuala Lumpur on 25 January before heading to Singapore on 26 January. The tour culminates in Seoul on the weekend of the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round, on 28-29 January.
As Malaysians tune in to Astro to watch their favourite English clubs compete in the Emirates FA Cup, fans are invited to come and hold history in their hands, with the Emirates FA Cup available for a picture opportunity at the below location:

The Emirates FA Cup, available exclusively in Malaysian via official broadcast partner Astro, is the world's oldest domestic cup competition. Over 700 clubs and more than 10,000 players spanning the entirety of the English football pyramid compete in the dramatic knockout-style format to be crowned champions. Liverpool won the 2022 cup and Arsenal has won the most in the competition's history, picking up the honour on 14 occasions.

Malaysia has many long-standing connections with the Emirate FA Cup. These include some players who have played important parts in both the English and Malaysian FA cups, such as Tony Cottee, who was a runner-up in the English FA Cup with Everton and Malaysia FA Cup champion with Selangor. Another example is David Rocastle, who made many appearances in the English Cup for Arsenal and was runner-up in the Malaysia FA Cup with Sabah.
Upcoming in the Fourth Round, there’s a bumper tie between the English Premier League top two as Manchester City hosts Arsenal, Manchester United takes on Championship side Reading, Preston North End host Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion will play Liverpool. Finally, Ryan Reynolds’ non-league side Wrexham were rewarded for their entertaining Third Round upset over Coventry City with a home-tie against Championship high-flyers Sheffield United.
