TNG Digital introduces an in-app EV charging network that simplifies access to multiple operators
EV drivers can now find, charge, and pay seamlessly across Malaysia and Singapore, all within TNG eWallet.
TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. (‘TNG Digital’), the operator of Malaysia’s leading digital financial services and lifestyle app, TNG eWallet, has introduced a new EV Charging feature within the eWallet, making it one of the few platforms that allows drivers to locate, activate, and pay for charging across multiple charge point operators (CPOs) in Malaysia and Singapore, all through a single app.
Powered by Voltality, a wholly owned subsidiary of Beep, the new feature connects users to various EV charging networks in Malaysia and Singapore, without separate operator apps. Payments are quick and secure via TNG eWallet, with automatic deductions from the eWallet with no card entry, separate top-ups, or multiple accounts required. Any unutilised balance is automatically refunded to the user’s TNG eWallet account almost instantly, ensuring a seamless and transparent payment experience.
Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd., said, “As EV adoption grows in Malaysia, many drivers still juggle multiple apps just to charge and pay. We’re removing that friction. This one-of-its-kind in-app integration gives EV drivers a unified experience across networks, all through one app. We’re starting with KINETA, EVlution, and Zura Charge, CHARGE+, RExharge, Powered By RISE, and JusEV Charging Network, together with major operators in Singapore such as SP Mobility, CDG ENGIE, EV Mobility, and MNL Asia, with additional partners in the pipeline to further extend coverage and convenience.”
This new feature currently provides access to over 6,000 charging points across 1,700 locations, in Malaysia and Singapore.
How to use the new EV Charging feature:
- Launch your TNG eWallet, find EV Charging icon and tap on it.
- Select your charging location via map view or list view.
- Select your charger or simply scan the QR code on the charger.
- Plug the charger securely into your car. Make sure nothing is blocking the charger or socket.
- Tap “Next” when ready. Your car will start charging.
- To stop charging, swipe “Slide to Stop Charging”, then unplug the charger from your car.
- You’ll receive a confirmation once charging ends. The charging cost will be deducted automatically, and you will be able to view the receipt in your eWallet.
This launch supports Malaysia’s goal under the Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint (LCMB) 2021–2030, which targets 10,000 EV charging stations nationwide by 2025. As of September 2025, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE over 4,100 charging points1 have already been installed, reflecting notable growth and momentum toward this national goal. TNG Digital continues to drive digital innovation in the EV ecosystem.
TNG Digital has been an early mover in digitalising the EV ecosystem. Its earlier partnership with DC Handal made TNG eWallet the first to offer QR payments on contactless EV charging terminals. The new in-app feature now pushes this further, bringing discovery, activation, and payment together in one effortless experience
