New centre to provide comprehensive cancer services closer to home, including a dedicated programme supporting women affected by cancer.

Cancer patients in the Klang Valley will soon have another option for specialist oncology care, following a partnership between Icon Sunsuria Sdn Bhd and Avisena Healthcare Sdn Bhd to establish Icon Oncology at Avisena Specialist Hospital 2 (ASH2).
The collaboration combines Icon Oncology's specialist cancer care expertise with Avisena Healthcare's established hospital capabilities and foundation in women's health. Together, the two organisations aim to provide high-quality, multidisciplinary oncology care within an integrated healthcare environment.
A Stronger Focus on Cancers Affecting Women
While the new centre will serve the broader community, particular attention will be given to cancers affecting women. This includes breast cancer, gynaecological cancer, colorectal cancer and lung cancer, which are among the prevalent malignancies affecting Malaysian women, according to the Malaysia National Cancer Registry.
Patients will have access to multidisciplinary expertise spanning oncology and women's health, with care coordinated across different stages of their treatment journey. This will cover diagnosis and active treatment through to follow-up and survivorship, with an emphasis on clinical excellence, continuity of care and a supportive patient experience.
Icon Oncology and Avisena Formalise Partnership
The Operating Agreement was signed by Elina Nadia Omar, Group Chief Executive Officer of Avisena Healthcare, and Serena Wee, Chief Executive Officer of Icon ASEAN. The signing was witnessed by Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap, Founder and Executive Chairman of Sunsuria Berhad, and Dato' Dr Omar Abd Hamid, Founder and Deputy Chairman of Avisena Healthcare.
Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap highlighted the growing health challenge that cancer presents for women in Malaysia.
"Through this partnership, we are investing in specialist cancer care where it is needed most while building on Avisena's strong reputation in women's health. Together with Icon Oncology Malaysia, we aim to deliver meaningful benefits for patients and their families across the Klang Valley."
The partnership also represents a further expansion of specialist oncology services within one of Malaysia's most populous regions.
