Keeping traditions close, even while travelling. Emirates brings Mid-Autumn festivities onboard for Malaysia travellers

For families across Malaysia and Asia, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a cherished time for reunion, togetherness and traditions, marked by gatherings under the full moon and the sharing of mooncakes with loved ones. As travellers journey home to celebrate with family and friends, Emirates is bringing the spirit of the festival onboard, offering customers a taste of the occasion while travelling between Dubai and Malaysia.

On 25 and 26 September 2026, customers travelling on select Emirates flightsa will receive a complimentary mooncake as part of their meal service across all cabin classes. The seasonal treat, featuring traditional red bean paste filling, will be served alongside lunch or dinner. 

In First Class and Business Class, customers will receive a specially packaged mooncake gift box following the first meal service. In Premium Economy and Economy Class, mooncakes will be presented as part of the meal tray service.

Alongside the festive culinary offering, customers can also enjoy Emirates' extensive inflight entertainment selection on ice, featuring more than 40 Cantonese and Mandarin films, including recent titles such as I Am What I Am 2, Invincible Swordsman, The Way We Talk and I Want to Be Rich. Travellers can also access more than 300 Hollywood releases with Chinese subtitles, including How to Train Your Dragon, Elio, Materialists and Audrey's Children.

Beyond Malaysia, Emirates' Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations will also be available on select flights between Dubai and China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and Singapore, extending the festive experience to customers travelling across the region.

Emirates currently operates three daily flights between Malaysia and Dubai with a mix of Airbus A350s, A380s and Boeing 777s.
