Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Giving Back To The Community

The Centre’s Team Raises Money To Help The Stepping Stone Living Centre Muhammad Vickneswaran (second from left), the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre ’s (the Centre) Director of Human Resources presenting a cheque to Pastor Johnson Aarons Rajasher (third from left), Founder of Stepping Stone Living Centre, after the Centre’s team members raised RM6,500. The funds were used to buy new clothes and educational supplies for the children and old folks at the living centre. The donation drive was organised by the Centre’s Human Resources department and the funds were raised through melamine tableware sales. This donation builds on the Centre’s earlier assistance to the Stepping Stone Living Centre in December last year, where the organisation donated RM2,500 (raised through cookie and snack sales) to help them rebuild their house which was destroyed by a landslide in 2021. Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre And Partners Creating Impact Across 119 SDG Targets!

During 2022, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre), Malaysia’s premier award-winning purpose-built venue, and its Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Business Events Alliance (KLCCBEA) partners, which includes the venue, on-site hotels, a shopping mall and the national airline, have undertaken a large number of sustainability projects which have impacts across all 17 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). KLCC And Partners Creating Impact Across 119 SDG Target The 17 SDGs feature 169 targets which are a plan of action for people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnership. The SDG projects currently undertaken by the Centre and its partners have impacts in 119 (70%) of the SDG targets, according to the KLCCBEA SDGs Symposium Report prepared by URBANICE Malaysia, an entity set up under the government that advocates the localisation of the UN’s SDGs in the development of liveable cities and climate responsive urban development.
