Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [27 September 2020]


The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 50 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 9,835 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (90.1% of total cumulative cases).
 
A total of 150 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 10,919 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 950 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment. 
 
Of the 150 additional cases reported today, four (4) are imported cases who were infected overseas.
 
Of the 146 local transmission cases reported today, 124 cases are Malaysians and 22 cases are non-Malaysians.
 
Currently, six (6) confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with four (4) patients on ventilation support. 
 
Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 134 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.23% of total cumulative cases).
