TikTok Launches First Regional Awards in Southeast Asia to Celebrate 'The Ones Who Spark It'

Malaysia's favourite TikTok creators are getting the chance to shine on a bigger stage as TikTok announces its first-ever TikTok Awards Southeast Asia 2026, bringing together established personalities and rising creators from across the region.

With the theme "The Ones Who Spark It", the regional awards celebrate creators whose content goes beyond entertainment to inspire communities, start conversations and make an impact both online and offline.

For Malaysian TikTok users, the excitement begins with the opportunity to vote for their favourite local creators across 11 award categories, including Creator of the Year, Rising Creator of the Year, Food Creator of the Year, Entertainment Creator of the Year and more.

The local voting period runs from 12 to 26 October 2026. The creator receiving the highest number of votes in each category will become Malaysia's Country Representative and advance to the next stage for a chance to win at the regional awards.

"On TikTok, trends don't just happen; they spark meaningful conversations, cultural phenomena, and real-world impact extending far beyond the screen. This year's TikTok Awards Country Nominees have turned their creativity and passion into opportunities to build diverse communities, sustainable livelihoods, and scalable businesses.
