Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [13 October 2020]

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 350 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 11,372 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (67.4% of total cumulative cases).

 

A total of 660 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 16,880 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 5,345 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.

 

Of the 660 cases reported today, two (2) is an imported case who was infected overseas.

 

Of the 658 local transmission cases, 618 cases are Malaysians and 40 cases are non-Malaysians.

 

Currently, 101 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 32 patients on ventilation support.

 

Regretfully, four (4) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 163 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.0% of total cumulative cases).
