The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 233 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 11,605 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (66.2% of total cumulative cases).
A total of 660 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 17,540 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 5,768 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the 660 cases reported today, six (6) is an imported case who was infected overseas.
Of the 654 local transmission cases, 608 cases are Malaysians and 46 cases are non-Malaysians.
Currently, 108 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 35 patients on ventilation support.
Regretfully, four (4) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 167 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.0% of total cumulative cases).
