The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 409 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 12,014 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (66.3% of total cumulative cases).
A total of 589 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 18,129 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 5,945 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the 589 cases reported today, three (3) is an imported case who was infected overseas.
Of the 586 local transmission cases, 453 cases are Malaysians and 133 cases are non-Malaysians.
Currently, 103 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 31 patients on ventilation support.
Regretfully, three (3) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 170 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (0.9% of total cumulative cases).
