Malaysian Students to Represent at FedEx/JA Asia Finals 2025
Meet the next-gen changemakers. Six brilliant secondary school students from Malaysia are headed to Singapore this August to compete in the FedEx JA ITC Malaysia 2025 Asia Pacific regional finals. Their mission? To shake up the fashion industry with sustainable, tech-forward solutions that tackle product return waste in China.This year marks the 17th edition of the FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (ITC) in Malaysia, a program dedicated to empowering young minds with global business skills. In collaboration with JA Malaysia, the program challenges students to think globally, act sustainably, and create solutions with real-world impact.
The Winning Teams & Their Eco-Forward Ideas
Made from banana silk and hemp
Co-designed by seniors
Returnable and compostable
Encourages circular fashion by planting banana trees with old garments
Smart closet compass and AR outfit planning
Style concierge powered by AI
Promotes rewearing and thrifting
Sweat and detergent sensitive ink tags
Made from upcycled, unsellable fashion
Recyclable and fraud-preventing
These ideas showcase more than creativity—they reflect a deep awareness of environmental impact and global business strategy.
Why This Matters
The regional finals will bring together students from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam for a multi-day exchange of ideas, mentorship, and collaboration.
It’s more than a pitch competition. Finalists will:
Collaborate with peers from across Asia
Engage in cultural exchange and team challenges
Connect with FedEx execs and industry mentors
Get hands-on experience in building global businesses
A Platform for the Future
FedEx Malaysia’s Managing Director, Tien Long Woon, put it best: “As Malaysia cultivates entrepreneurial talent, it is important that young people are equipped with business skills alongside a global mindset.”
Since 2008, over 9,900 Malaysian students have joined this program. With past winners placing in the Top 3 and even taking home the #1 spot regionally, Malaysia’s youth continue to prove they’re ready to lead
