Strengthening Canon’s Vision for Hybrid Creators and Video-Driven Storytelling

Canon presents its 2026 EOS Master Programme lineup, featuring 11 EOS Masters, 12 EOS Mentors and 3 EOS Filmmakers, reaffirming its commitment to empowering Malaysia’s creative community.

Canon Marketing Malaysia (“Canon”) proudly unveils its 2026 EOS Master Programme lineup, comprising EOS Masters, EOS Mentors, and the newly introduced EOS Filmmaker, continuing its commitment to empowering Malaysia’s photography and videography community through education, mentorship, and professional knowledge sharing.

Building on the success of the EOS Master Programme launched in 2023, Canon continues to evolve the initiative in line with the changing creative landscape. In 2026, the programme is further strengthened with the introduction of EOS Filmmaker, reflecting Canon’s strategic focus on videography, motion storytelling, and the growing importance of video-driven content creation across industries.

The 2026 EOS Master Programme lineup comprises 11 EOS Masters, 12 EOS Mentors and 3 EOS Filmmakers. This year’s lineup brings together a diverse group of professionals specialising in astrophotography, commercial, events, human interest, photojournalism, portrait, travel, underwater, wildlife and wedding. Each are recognised for their creative excellence, industry experience, and contribution to the local imaging community.

The addition of EOS Filmmaker reinforces Canon’s commitment to supporting creators working in cinematic storytelling, commercial video production, and digital content creation, in line with the growing demand for video-first platforms and hybrid creative workflows.

Through workshops, talks, training sessions, and Canon-led initiatives throughout the year, EOS Masters and EOS Filmmakers will actively contribute to nurturing creative talent, sharing practical insights, and demonstrating how Canon’s imaging ecosystem enables both stills and motion storytelling at the highest level.

Masato Yoshiie, President and CEO of Canon Marketing Malaysia said, “Canon’s EOS Master Programme reflects our long-term commitment to nurturing a strong and credible creative community in Malaysia. As creative expression continues to evolve, it is important that we evolve alongside our creators. The introduction of EOS Filmmaker allows us to further support storytellers working across both photography and videography, while empowering them with the tools, knowledge, and platform to push creative boundaries.”

Edward Chang, Head of Image Communication Business Division at Canon Marketing Malaysia added, “Videography has become an essential part of visual storytelling today, and creators are increasingly working across multiple formats. By introducing EOS Filmmaker within the EOS Master Programme, we are strengthening our support for video-focused professionals while continuing to provide meaningful learning experiences and practical insights through Canon’s EOS ecosystem.”

Canon’s EOS Master Programme is guided by the company’s Kyosei philosophy, which emphasises working together for the common good. Through collaboration, mentorship, and innovation, Canon remains committed to fostering a vibrant and future-ready creative community in Malaysia.
