HONOR Pad X7b: A Family Tablet With a 9.7-Inch 2K Display
The HONOR Pad X7b is positioned as an affordable tablet for children and families, combining features intended for educational activities, entertainment and everyday use.
It features a 9.7-inch 2K HONOR Eye Comfort Display with a resolution of 2052 × 1152 pixels, providing space for reading, watching videos and using educational applications.
HONOR has incorporated six layers of eye comfort technologies, including Dynamic Dimming, Software Low Blue Light and E-Book Mode.
The display also carries TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free certifications, which relate to specified display characteristics and testing conditions.
These technologies are designed to improve viewing comfort, particularly for users who spend extended periods reading or interacting with digital content.
However, display comfort features do not eliminate the importance of appropriate screen breaks and parental supervision, especially for younger children.
With its relatively compact screen size, the tablet is also intended to be portable enough for family outings, travel and daily activities.
8,000mAh Battery Supports Up to 16 Hours of Video Playback
Battery life is another key feature of the HONOR Pad X7b, which incorporates a large 8,000mAh battery.
According to HONOR, the tablet supports up to 16 hours of local video playback and up to 82 days of standby time under its stated testing conditions.
The company positions these figures as suitable for situations where users may not have convenient access to charging, including long car journeys or holidays.
For families, the battery capacity is intended to support different activities throughout the day, from educational content and drawing applications to watching videos.
Actual battery endurance will depend on factors such as screen brightness, connectivity, application usage and other operating conditions.
SGS 5-Star Drop and Crush Resistance for Everyday Durability
As a tablet aimed partly at younger users, the HONOR Pad X7b places emphasis on physical durability.
The device carries SGS 5-Star Certified Enhanced Drop and Crush Resistance, supported by what HONOR describes as a pressure-resistant structural design and secondary toughened glass.
Its body is constructed from a single piece of aluminium alloy, creating a unibody metal design with a fine sandblasted finish.
These features are intended to provide additional resistance to everyday impacts and handling, including accidental bumps or drops.
Nevertheless, the certification should not be interpreted as a guarantee that the tablet is unbreakable or protected against every type of physical damage.
Consumers should also consider the conditions attached to the manufacturer's warranty when evaluating the device's durability.

HONOR Kids Features Parental Controls and Creative Applications
Beyond its hardware specifications, the Pad X7b incorporates a dedicated HONOR Kids environment designed for younger users.
The feature includes creative applications such as Kids Camera, Kids Canvas and Kids Recorder, allowing children to take photographs, draw pictures and make audio recordings.
Parents can also access multiple layers of parental controls to manage screen time and content access.
These controls are intended to help families establish boundaries around how children use the tablet, particularly when balancing entertainment with educational activities and other routines.
The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G Mobile Platform and supports microSD storage expansion of up to 2TB.
This allows users to increase storage for downloaded videos, educational materials, family photographs and other files, provided they use a compatible memory card.
HONOR Pad X7b Malaysia Price: RM699 for Wi-Fi, RM799 for LTE
The HONOR Pad X7b is available in Space Gray, with two connectivity options aimed at different usage requirements.
Both models come with 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of physical RAM, supplemented by HONOR's virtual RAM expansion feature.
The Malaysian prices are as follows:
It is important to distinguish HONOR RAM Turbo from physical RAM, as the additional 4GB refers to memory expansion technology rather than a separate physical memory component.
The tablet is available through HONOR Experience Stores, HONOR Malaysia's website, official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, as well as authorised retailers including Senheng, SenQ, Harvey Norman and Urban Republic.
HONOR Earbuds 5e: Adaptive Noise Cancellation at RM149
Alongside the new tablet, HONOR has introduced the Earbuds 5e, a pair of wireless earbuds aimed at users who want noise cancellation and higher-resolution audio features at a relatively affordable price.
The earbuds feature Multi-mode Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), with HONOR claiming noise reduction of up to 52dB under specified conditions.
The system is designed to adjust the intensity of noise cancellation according to the surrounding environment, helping reduce certain background sounds during activities such as commuting or working.
HONOR has also incorporated a tri-microphone noise reduction system supported by a deep neural network algorithm to improve voice clarity during calls.
This feature is intended to filter background noise picked up by the microphones, although actual call quality will depend on the environment and network conditions.

12mm Drivers, Hi-Res Wireless Audio and AI Interpreter
For audio performance, the HONOR Earbuds 5e incorporate a 12mm diamond-like coated driver and an enlarged Acoustic Resonance Chamber.
The company says this combination is designed to deliver clear and detailed sound across different frequencies.
The earbuds support LHDC 5.0, Bluetooth 6.0 and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, providing high-resolution audio capabilities when paired with compatible devices and audio sources.
Battery life is rated at up to nine hours on a single charge with ANC switched off, extending to up to 45 hours when used with the charging case.
A ten-minute quick charge is claimed to provide up to three hours of music playback.
The earbuds also include AI Interpreter functionality supporting 15 languages, dual-device connectivity, wear detection, and touch and swipe controls.
An IP54 dust and water resistance rating provides protection against specified levels of dust exposure and water splashes, but does not mean the earbuds are suitable for swimming or prolonged immersion.
HONOR offers the Earbuds 5e in White and Black, with a Malaysian selling price of RM149.
