Five (5) additional confirmed COVID-19 cases (Cases 51, 52, 53, 54 and 55) were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) Ministry of Health (MOH) today. Cumulatively as of 5 March 2020, 12 PM, there are now 55 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Of these, 22 cases have fully recovered and discharged well.
All additional cases reported today are related to the one (1) COVID-19 cluster that was identified involving Case 26. These cases were close contacts to confirmed COVID-19 cases in this cluster. To date, this cluster consists of 26 confirmed cases. Investigation and contact tracing activities are still ongoing.
