The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 109 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 11,022 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (67.9% of total cumulative cases).
A total of 563 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 16,220 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 5,039 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the 563 cases reported today, one (1) is an imported case who was infected overseas, a traveller from Indonesia, reported in Kuala Lumpur, a Malaysian.
Of the 562 local transmission cases, 498 cases are Malaysians and 64 cases are non-Malaysians.
Currently, 98 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 29 patients on ventilation support.
Regretfully, two (2) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 159 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.0% of total cumulative cases).
