The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 455 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 13,717 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.2% of total cumulative cases).
A total of 865 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 21,363 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 7,456 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the 865 cases reported today, seven (7) is an imported case who was infected overseas.
Of the 858 local transmission cases, 767 cases are Malaysians and 91 cases are non-Malaysians.
Currently, 99 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 32 patients on ventilation support.
Regretfully, three (3) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 190 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (0.9% of total cumulative cases).
