New 360 Camera from DJI Features High Dynamic Range 1-Inch 8K/60fps Imaging Sensor, AI SuperNight 2.0, and Ultra-Hard Replaceable Lenses
DJI has launched the Osmo 360 II in Malaysia, introducing its latest generation of panoramic imaging technology in a camera built on more than 12 years of the company's handheld imaging expertise.
The new 360° camera brings together technologies DJI has developed across several of its imaging platforms. Its technical foundations draw from distortion control used in aerial photography, stabilisation technology from the professional Ronin gimbal series and colour science developed through successive generations of Osmo Action cameras. Following the original Osmo 360 and DJI's first 360° drone, Avata 360, the Osmo 360 II further expands the company's panoramic imaging capabilities.
At its core is an advanced square HDR image sensor that increases sensor utilisation by 25% while reducing power consumption. DJI has paired the sensor with AI SuperNight 2.0 for cleaner low-light footage, while the camera also introduces ultra-hard replaceable lenses[1] and 105 GB of built-in storage.

1-Inch 8K/60fps HDR 360° Imaging for Day and Night
The Osmo 360 II features what DJI describes as the industry's first advanced 1-inch square HDR image sensor[1], while maintaining the same 360° image field as a traditional 1-inch rectangular sensor. Its 360° dynamic range has been expanded to 14.5 stops[1], doubling the brightness range.
Low-light shooting is supported by the new AI SuperNight 2.0 noise-reduction algorithm, designed to produce cleaner and brighter footage in darker environments[1]. For fast-moving action, the camera combines large 2.4 μm pixels with a high-performance chip to record 8K/60fps 360° video while keeping frames sharp and reducing motion blur.
Built for Different Shooting Scenarios
The Osmo 360 II is designed to work across a range of activities, from motorcycling and diving to skiing, cycling and everyday vlogging.
Beyond standard 360° video, DJI has equipped the Osmo 360 II with several shooting modes for creating different visual effects.
DJI has also upgraded the workflow around the Osmo 360 II through new camera features and improvements to the DJI Mimo app.
Spotlight Follow[1] can intelligently track a subject and keep it centred in the frame even as the camera rotates, reducing the need to manually reframe footage during post-production.
A new NFC area has also been added to the camera. With a single tap, users can connect the Osmo 360 II to the DJI Mimo app, transfer footage or move directly to the app's editing page.

Built for Different Shooting Scenarios
The Osmo 360 II is designed to work across a range of activities, from motorcycling and diving to skiing, cycling and everyday vlogging.
- Motorcycling: The camera can be securely mounted in different positions for multi-angle footage. Gesture Control and Voice Control allow recording to begin without the rider releasing the throttle.
- Diving: Osmo 360 II can be used underwater at depths of up to 10 metres[1] without an additional case. With the Invisible Waterproof Case, it can be taken down to 50 metres[1].
- Skiing: The camera can operate in temperatures as low as -20°C[1] and supports shooting by double twisting the selfie stick. The 2.5m Extended Carbon Fiber Selfie Stick can be used for aerial-style perspectives, while Motion Blur can be added for a more cinematic look.
- Mountain Biking / Road Cycling: Built-in stabilisation helps smooth footage across rough trails, while the Sports Dashboard overlay can add riding data to cycling videos.
- Vlogging: Solo creators can use the Invisible Selfie Stick for hands-free perspectives. Dual Recording can capture passing scenery and multiple people within a single frame.
Beyond standard 360° video, DJI has equipped the Osmo 360 II with several shooting modes for creating different visual effects.
- 120MP HDR 360° Photo[1]: Captures HDR 360° still images while retaining lighting and contrast across the scene.
- 16K 360° Timelapse[1]: Records timelapse footage at up to 16K resolution[1], with a Clouds mode for condensing the movement of the sky.
- 64x Pano Slow Motion[1]: DJI Studio's AI frame interpolation enables up to 64x slow motion in post-production, equivalent to cropped 8K/480fps[1].
- 8K/120fps Vortex[1]: Creates high-definition wraparound slow-motion footage through a swinging camera movement.
- 10-bit and D-Log M Colour Profile: Every video format supports 10-bit colour depth, capturing more than one billion colours.
DJI has also upgraded the workflow around the Osmo 360 II through new camera features and improvements to the DJI Mimo app.

One of the Osmo 360 II's notable hardware changes is its new replaceable lens design. Both lenses feature an ultra-hard optical film intended to improve scratch and wear resistance. If a lens becomes damaged, it can be replaced so users can continue shooting without replacing the entire camera.
The camera weighs 183g and comes with 105 GB of built-in storage. Its battery can continuously record for 100 minutes[1] at 8K/30fps and can fast-charge to 80% in 22 minutes[1]. Connecting the Battery Extension Rod extends runtime by a further 180 minutes[1].

The Osmo 360 II will make its global offline debut at IFA 2026, where DJI will showcase the camera at Booth No. H20-129 in Hall 20. The consumer electronics trade show runs from 4 to 8 September 2026, giving attendees an opportunity to experience the new 360° camera's imaging capabilities firsthand.
