Current statistics of COVID-19 [28 February 2020]
Two (2) new cases of COVID19 were recorded today, February 28, 2020 making the 25th case overall. The case involved a Japanese citizen working in Malaysia and an Italian citizen marrying a local citizen and living in Malaysia. 22 out of 25 cases were fully recovered and allowed to return. Three more people are still receiving treatment at the ward.

Malaysia National Junior Culinary Team Triumphs on The World Stage
The Malaysia National Youth Culinary Team comprising Sunway University School of Hospitality students Alicia Tay (23), Pang Jin Yong (23), Amanda Cheah (20), Tsen Jun Yan (20), and Amirul Ashraf (20) and Ilya Dayana (25) from Kolej Yayasan Pahang, brought home a gold medal for the "Restaurant of the Nations" category and a silver medal for the "IKA Buffet" category yesterday. Meeting of Conference of Rulers in Istana Negara tomorrow
Conference of Rulers is scheduled to hold a special meeting at Istana Negara after Friday prayers tomorrow. Citing the Astro Awani report, this was confirmed by an internal source from Istana Selangor. The essence of tomorrow's meeting will be on the current political situation in the country, including the possibility under consideration of the Malay rulers, especially the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, which include continuing the new government, as well as the dissolution of Dewan Rakyat.

Current statistics of COVID-19 [27 February 2020]
Worldwide current statistics of COVID-19 (updated at 8am, 27th Feb 2020). Seven (7) new countries were listed among the countries involved namely Pakistan, North Macedonia, Georgia, Romania, Brazil, Greece and Norway. Brazil became first country from South America to record its first case of COVID-19 infection. A 61 year old male was reported went to Lombardy, Italy before he was confirmed with the infection. Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Monday that the coronavirus epidemic has "peaked" in China. In other development, the total cases in Malaysia remain at 22, including 20 cured.

As we all know, I had submitted my resignation letter as the 7th Prime Minister to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Nevertheless, I was later summoned to meet the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, and after a more than an hour-long discussion, the King consented to my resignation and later, decreed that I should become the interim prime minister. There are many reasons for my resignation but suffice to say, I felt that I had support from all sides to the extent that I was unable to choose a side. Current statistics of COVID-19 [26 February 2020]
Worldwide current statistics of COVID-19 (updated at 6 pm, 26th Feb 2020). Total cases increased in South Korea with 12 deaths. The vast majority of the new infections were in Daegu, the country's fourth-largest city and the epicentre of the outbreak, and the neighbouring province of North Gyeongsang. Scores of events have been cancelled or postponed as the outbreak has spread, from K-pop concerts to the start of the K-league football season. Meanwhile, the total cases in Malaysia remain at 22, including 20 cured.

Second mission to evacuate Malaysians from Wuhan to go ahead as planned - NADMA
The second mission to bring back 75 Malaysian citizens and their families who have been stranded in Wuhan, China, following the COVID-19 outbreak in the republic will go ahead as planned, despite the current political situation in the country. According to a National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) spokesman, the Malaysians would be flown from Wuhan via a special AirAsia flight which is expected to arrive tomorrow (Feb 26) at 6am. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Azizah Wan Ismail was reported as saying that the Foreign Ministry and NADMA in collaboration with AirAsia were arranging for the second evacuation flight. Wan Azizah said as per the first mission, upon arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), all passengers would undergo health screening at the Air Disaster Unit (ADU) before being sent to the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT) where they would be monitored for 14 days. Worldwide current statistics of COVID-19 (updated at 8 am, 25th Feb 2020) COVID-19 infection has spread to another five (5) new countries; Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Afghanistan and Oman. In the meantime, six (6) provinces in China have changed their warning-level from three (Avoid Nonessential Travel) to two (Practice Enhanced Precautions) or one (Practice Usual Precautions).
