MUNCHY’S CELEBRATES 35 YEARS OF SHARING HAPPINESS WITH MILLIONS OF MALAYSIANS

Taste Munchy’s, Taste Happiness comes to life through the brand’s National Day Parade debut and nationwide Powering Malaysia’s Heroes initiative

Munchy’s Malaysia is marking its 35^th anniversary under the theme of “Taste Munchy’s, Taste Happiness” in conjunction with National Day and Malaysia Day 2026. The milestone is being celebrated through Munchy’s participation as a contingent in the National Day Parade and Powering Malaysia’s Heroes, a nationwide employee-led initiative honouring those who protect, care for and educate Malaysians.

Over the years, Munchy’s products have been part of everyday Malaysian moments, from school breaks and family gatherings to festive celebrations. This lasting connection has helped Munchy’s become Malaysia’s favourite biscuit brand, enjoyed and trusted across generations.

“Reaching this milestone gives us an opportunity to thank Malaysians for growing with Munchy’s,” said Rodney Wong, Chief Executive Officer of URMunchy’s Malaysia.

“We wanted our anniversary celebration to reflect that connection by celebrating the country we call home and recognising the people who contribute to it every day.”

On 31 August, Munchy’s made its first appearance as a marching contingent at the 2026 National Day Parade at Dataran Putrajaya. The contingent comprised Munchy's employees who proudly represented the company at the parade, demonstrating national pride, teamwork and commitment.

The parade formed part of Munchy’s broader support for the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, which also included an RM500,000 in-kind product contribution. This year marks the company’s third consecutive year of supporting Malaysia’s national celebrations.

Through Powering Malaysia’s Heroes, Munchy’s teams delivered product contributions to close to 100 selected locations across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Recipients include offices and facilities of the Royal Malaysia Police, Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, Malaysia Civil Defence Force and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, as well as hospitals and schools.

“The parade allowed our employees to celebrate Malaysia together, while Powering Malaysia’s Heroes enables our teams to honour those who serve the country every day,” Wong added.

“These heroes already devote their strength, courage and dedication to Malaysia. We are standing beside them to ensure their contributions are seen, valued and appreciated.”

Together, both initiatives take Munchy’s anniversary journey from shared moments to shared purpose, celebrating Malaysia and the people who continue moving the nation forward.
