Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [5 June 2020]

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 51 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,610 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (80% of total cumulative cases). A total of 19 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,266 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,540 active and infective COVID-19 cases .   Of these 19 additional cases reported today, 7 are imported cases . The remaining 12 cases are due to local transmission of which three (3) cases are locally transmitted cases among non-Malaysians and the remaining nine (9) cases are transmitted among Malaysians. They have all been isolated and given treatment. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 28 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,559 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (79.5% of total cumulative cases). A total of 277 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. There are only four (4) locally transmitted cases among Malaysians . There are 271 cases among non-Malaysians, and only two (2) imported cases among Malaysians who were infected overseas. Cumulatively there are now 8,247 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,573 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment. A total of 270 cases among non-Malaysians are from the Bukit Jalil Immigration Detention Centre, and these are from repeated testing of detainees under quarantine in this detention centre. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 61 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,531 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (81.9% of total cumulative cases). A total of 93 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 7,970 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,324 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment. All of the 93 additional cases reported today were local transmission, of which 91 cases are non-Malaysians; 55 cases are from the Bukit Jalil Immigration Detention Centre and 36 cases from the Pedas Cluster. Cumulatively there are now 7,877 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,292 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment. A total of 38 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today.
