Almost 18,000 bicycles were sold on Carousell in Malaysia in 2020, with this trend continuing in 2021 Sales of bicycles on Carousell, one of the world’s largest and leading marketplaces, have been increasing since the fourth quarter of 2020, with the trend sustaining in the first two months of 2021. A total of 63,345 transactions were made in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Malaysia is the second top market on Carousell with almost 18,000 bicycles sold in 2020. As the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe in 2020, demand for fitness items started to spike in March 2020, and hit a new peak in August 2020. Demand for bicycles followed suit and also broke out as the new trend regionally.
