Touch ‘n Go eWallet offers Perlindungan Tenang Voucher Programme
Offering users, a protection solution through the eWallet app Touch ‘n Go eWallet is offering its growing 16 million users a protection solution by offering the Perlindungan Tenang Voucher Programme. The programme is an initiative by the Malaysian Government to extend social protection to the B40 group. Through the Perlindungan Tenang Voucher Programme, RM75 vouchers are given to eligible Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) recipients effective January 2022 to help them purchase Perlindungan Tenang products that cover death, property damage, accidents and others from licensed insurance companies and takaful operators. “Approximately 270,000 Malaysian citizens from the B40 group have received the benefits of Perlindungan Tenang in January 2022 and 70% of them have claimed it through Touch ‘n Go eWallet. Weak 4G Network, 3G Network Is Closing
It has been a very challenging year to the telecommunications and multimedia consumers with the planned shutdown of 3G Network by 31 December 2021. The aim was to enable Service Providers to provide faster and better 4G experience. However in reality, before they can even look forward to an improved experience there are consumers that are still facing network issues and some do not even have coverage at all. The JENDELA Quarter four report stated that 94.03% of all populated areas receive 4G mobile coverage as of 30 September 2021. Despite that, there are still many complaints reported in the news especially in Sabah, Sarawak, and rural areas, that consumers are experiencing bad or no coverage at all. Shopee Malaysia data revealed that Malaysian consumers are turning to the e-commerce platform to get their necessities on a regular basis, especially face masks. Tourism Australia is excited to be welcoming back travellers from Malaysia to Australia, with Australia reopening its borders for fully vaccinated visa holders, tourists, business travellers, and other visitors around the world from today, 21 February 2022. The announcement is part of Australia’s planned re-opening of international travel and builds on quarantine-free travel arrangements with Singapore, which came into effect on 21 November 2021, and for visitors from Japan and South Korea along with Working Holiday Makers from 15 December 2021.
