Yoodo & The Bee Rock It Up with Bunkface and One Buck Short

It was an unforgettable night of angsty anthems and piercing power chords at the Yoodo x The Bee Presents: Punkrock Picnic recently featuring pioneering Punk Rock bands, Bunkface and One Buck Short.

Yoodo, Malaysia’s first truly customisable and 100% digital mobile service, partnered with The Bee for a one-of-a-kind punk rock party that rocked hundreds of music goers. The immersive one night only live show at The Bee, Publika Shopping Gallery featured all the head-banging hits from both the bands.

Bunkface turned up the volume with crowd favourites ‘Situasi’ and ‘Silly Lily’ as well as hits from their most recent album POP including ‘Shiver’. Bunkers in attendance were also treated to a very special performance of their latest single ‘Suara’.

Meanwhile, One Buck Short got the mosh pits rocking coming out to play some of their greatest hits including ‘Fast Times’ and ‘Kelibat Korupsi’. They also wowed fans with their first taste of some brand new tracks that the band debuted during Yoodo x The Bee Presents: Punkrock Picnic.



Speaking on the performance, One Buck Short’s bassist, Izal said, “It has been a while since we had the full line up of our band. This performance was a great way to kick off our musical journey and fans can expect more exciting gigs to follow. We were glad to go out there and rock out with our fans.”



Yoodo x The Bee Presents: Punkrock Picnic, is the follow-up to Yoodo’s successful inaugural Yoodo Presents event held earlier this year. That event featured 6 local indie music acts including Sevencollar T-shirt, Modescape, An Honest Mistake, Battle Bloom, Nadhira and A.RON.

Music is a key lifestyle segment focus for Yoodo, the Telco also sponsored the recent 2019 TAPAUfest as the Official Digital Telco. The festival featured an exciting line-up of local indie music talent including BTSWT, Midnight Fusic, Iqbal M, Airliftz, Milo Dinosaur and more.
