The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 35 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 7,346 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well (86.9% of total cumulative cases).
A total of eight (8) additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,453 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 986 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the eight (8) additional cases reported today, two (2) are imported cases who were infected overseas, involving non-Malaysian permanent residents. Of the six (6) local transmission cases, four (4) cases are non-Malaysians, and two (2) cases are among Malaysians.
All four (4) local transmission cases among non-Malaysians are from the Construction Site 2 Cluster in Kuala Lumpur.
Currently, four (4) confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment
in intensive care units (ICUs), and no patient is on ventilation
support.
Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 121 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.43% of total cumulative cases)
