LUCKIN COFFEE EYES POSITIVE FUTURE GROWTH IN MALAYSIA AS IT SURPASSES THE 120-OUTLET MILESTONE WITH NEW MARKET ENTRY

Expanding strategically beyond the Klang Valley, the brand remains committed to quality assurance, seamless digital convenience, and Halal integrity in the local community

Luckin Coffee, a global coffee retail brand, has officially announced its strategic expansion into the southern region, positioning this new market entry as a cornerstone for its future growth across Malaysia. The debut beautifully coincides with the brand successfully surpassing its 120-outlet milestone nationwide since its first establishment in 2025 of its entry into the country, signaling a mature and strategic evolution beyond the Klang Valley market.

Following its recent market entry into Seremban in May, the brand’s rapid expansion into Johor marked a deliberate roadmap that goes far beyond simple footprint growth. This southern entry serves to establish a more sustainable localized supply chain, create job opportunities, and deliver tailored experiences to new communities.

The grand opening of Luckin Coffee at Sutera Mall, Johor marked a significant footprint in the south of Malaysia.

"Carrying a global brand identity powered by a local Malaysian organisation, this strategic expansion is far more than a simple business move, it is a long-term commitment and testament to the future growth trajectory we promise to build hand-in-hand with our consumers, while strengthening our mission to bring high quality, convenient, and affordable coffee experience to the southern region. We intend to bridge the gap between digital sophistication and nationwide accessibility. Our goal is to introduce Luckin Coffee’s app-ordering experience to a dynamic audience outside the Klang Valley, seamlessly elevating their daily routines," said Dr Jeff Lim Chee Lip, CEO of Luckin Coffee Malaysia. Central to this multi-state trajectory, the brand continues to uphold Halal integrity across all operational touchpoints, ensuring the brand scales responsibly and sustainably.

As of today, Luckin Coffee’s commitment to the southern region is firmly in motion with three key locations already fully operational across Johor Bahru. Anchored by the grand opening landmark at Sutera Mall, residents can also enjoy their daily premium brews at the newly opened Austin Heights and Taman Ungku Tun Aminah outlets. This simultaneous presence ensures that Luckin Coffee’s signature experience is immediately accessible across multiple vibrant neighborhoods in the city.

To ensure its digital-first convenience is accessible to all, new users are entitled to enjoy first cup of Luckin Coffee from RM 2.99. Additionally, to mark this momentous milestone, the brand revealed a Johor-exclusive limited-edition collectible with a purchase of 2 selected drinks at RM26.90 through the Luckin Coffee app. This exclusive merchandise is available at all active Johor outlets while stocks last.
