UNIQLO gets Raya celebrants ready for a season of appreciation and gratitude
As Muslim families across the nation are getting ready to kick off the fasting month of Ramadan, which ends with Hari Raya Puasa celebrations in May, UNIQLO launches Raya collection to meets people’s needs for this grateful occasion. Aptly themed Grateful for Every Moment, Essentials for Every Occasion, this year’s Raya collection is made of a variety of fabrics, including cotton, rayon and stretch jersey that provide ultimate comfort with simple elegance. Highlights of the men’s collection include the Dry Easy Care Baju Melayu in collarless and stand collar and Batik Motif Shirt. The Baju Melayu is made of stretch jersey material that provides both softness and comfort and a flattering fit to give you a streamlined silhouette. This innovative shirt dries sweat fast for long-lasting comfort and is quick-drying and wrinkle-resistant.
The men’s Batik Motif shirts are made with extra fine cotton broadcloth, which is pre-washed and brushed to give it a soft, elegant feel. It’s the perfect balance of resilience and shine for a nice-to-touch fabric.. Featuring a variety of stunning batik motifs and colors, they can be paired easily with Smart ankle pants or Ultra light pants for an effortlessly casual and stylish look.
Similarly, UNIQLO offers women a selection of Batik Collections, which combines a long sleeve stand collar blouse and a long skirt in matching beautiful prints. This initiative is part of our Re.UNIQLO concept to breathe new life into UNIQLO clothing by reusing them to clothe people in need while inspiring gratitude during this season of giving. To collect used UNIQLO clothing from customers in our stores nationwide, targeting to collect 10,000 pieces for the homeless and underprivileged communities throughout Malaysia.
To contribute alongside our customers, UNIQLO will also be donating 10,000 AIRism masks to help the homeless stay safe and protected
April 30 to May 6: Reusable Raya Packet Giveaway
Get a reusable Raya packet** with a minimum purchase of RM300 at any UNIQLO retail stores and online store. With the intent of reducing paper usage, these sustainable green packets are made by students and refugee mothers at Sew X Dignity, a social enterprise under Dignity for Children Foundation that offers high-quality, lovingly sewn goods made out of up-cycled and local fabrics. Profits go directly back to Dignity for Children Foundation to support the education and transformation of underprivileged and marginalized youths.
