Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was reported to have just handed in his resignation letter to His Majesty, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
The resignation is believed to be related to the political upheaval in Pakatan Harapan (PH) since last Friday's Presidential Council meeting.
Sinar Harian reported that Prime Minister's Department will be releasing a statement in the near future.
Meanwhile, PKR has sacked its deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali and Zuraida Kamarudin, the party’s secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution announced today.
