The Ministry of Health (MOH) is pleased to inform that today Malaysia reported 580 COVID-19 recovery cases. Therefore, cumulatively 14,931 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (65% of total cumulative cases).
A total of 732 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 22,957 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 7,827 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the 732 additional cases reported today, eight (8) is an imported case who was infected overseas.
Currently, 102 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 31 patients on ventilation support.
Regretfully, six (6) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 199 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (0.87% of total cumulative cases).
