Representatives from OURFARM, IKHLAS and volunteers from other social enterprises joined hands for Project #Food4B40 Deepavali initiative. OURFARM, a business-to-business (B2B) agriculture e-commerce platform owned by airasia Digital and IKHLAS, airasia.com’s Muslim-friendly line of business joined hands last weekend to help 220 B40 families in the spirit of Deepavali. Shopee: E-commerce Providing New Opportunities for Malaysians

Survey reveals optimism ahead of Shopee 11.11 Big Sale, as sellers anticipate store sales to climb 100% at the shopping festival A recent survey conducted by e-commerce platform Shopee amongst 11,850 Malaysian sellers show that e-commerce is creating new livelihoods and opportunities amid rising economic challenges, with 70% citing that they have up to six dependants. As such, despite being fully employed, 35.4% of the overall respondents reveal that they have turned to e-commerce for a second and even third, source of household income. These sellers were found to be making an average of RM2,750* per month selling on Shopee alone. Additionally, the survey also indicates that e-commerce appears to be creating opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs, regardless of gender, geography and age.   The Ministry of Health (MOH) is pleased to inform that today Malaysia reported 674 COVID-19 recovery cases. Therefore, cumulatively 18,499 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.6% of total cumulative cases).   A total of 835 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 28,640 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 9,903 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment.   Of the 835 additional cases reported today, five (5) is an imported case who was infected overseas.   Currently, 89 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 32 patients on ventilation support .   Regretfully, two (2) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. The 2019-2020 Huawei Asia Pacific ICT Competition, under the theme of "Connection, Glory, Future," successfully concluded on Wednesday. Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) from Indonesia won champions of both the Network and Cloud tracks in this regional finals, and will represent the Asia Pacific region in the global finals.   The Ministry of Health (MOH) is pleased to inform that today Malaysia reported 691 COVID-19 recovery cases. Therefore, cumulatively 17,825 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.1% of total cumulative cases).   A total of 1,240 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 27,805 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 9,744 active and infective COVID-19 cases .   The Ministry of Health (MOH) is pleased to inform that today Malaysia reported 579 COVID-19 recovery cases. Therefore, cumulatively 17,134 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.5% of total cumulative cases).   A total of 823 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 26,565 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 9,202 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment.   All 823 additional cases today are local transmission COVID-19 cases   Currently, 99 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 30 patients on ventilation support .   Regretfully, eight (8) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 229 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (0.86% of total cumulative cases).
