The Ministry of Health (MOH) is pleased to inform that today Malaysia reported 579 COVID-19 recovery cases. Therefore, cumulatively 17,134 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.5% of total cumulative cases).
A total of 823 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 26,565 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 9,202 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
All 823 additional cases today are local transmission COVID-19 cases
Currently, 99 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 30 patients on ventilation support.
Regretfully, eight (8) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 229 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (0.86% of total cumulative cases).
