Santan navigating through pandemic outbreak challenges

Tough times, but tougher people Lately, with the global pandemic that we are fighting together as humanity, a quote has been making its rounds. It goes like this: ‘Tough times don’t last, but tough people do’. Santan, an F&B brand which most would call the ‘new kid on the block’ resonates deeply with that quote. Setting up a restaurant business (well, any business for that matter) is no easy feat, but being thrown the pandemic and movement control order curveball was totally unexpected. We officially opened in December 2019, and as of mid-March 2020, people could no longer come to our restaurant. We were only about to start mobilising our menu through food delivery partners! Current statistics of COVID-19 in Malaysia [13 April 2020]

A total of 134 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 4,817 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  168 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 2,276 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 47.23 % of total cumulative cases). Currently, 66 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 36 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 77 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.6 % of total cumulative cases).

A total of 153 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 4,683 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  113 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 2,108 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 45 % of total cumulative cases). Currently, 66 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 37 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, three (3) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 76 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.62 % of total cumulative cases).

A total of 184 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 4,530 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  165 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 1,995 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 44.04 % of total cumulative cases). Currently, 72 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 38 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, three (3) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 73 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.61 % of total cumulative cases).

A total of 118 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 4,346 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  Currently, 69 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 40 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, three (3) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 70 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.6 % of total cumulative cases). 222 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 1,830 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 42.11 % of total cumulative cases).

A total of 109 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 4,228 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  Currently, 72 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 43 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, two (2) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 67 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.58 % of total cumulative cases). 121 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 1,608 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 38 % of total cumulative cases).
