Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [12 May 2020]
The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 110 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 5,223 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (77.47% of total cumulative cases). Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia A total of 16 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 6,742 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,410 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have been isolated and provided treatment. Of these 16 additional cases reported today, three (3) are imported cases . The remaining 13 cases are due to local transmission. Currently, 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU) , and of these, 3 cases are on ventilation support. Bank Islam Encourages Zakat Fitrah Payment Via SnapNPay for Customers’ Convenience
Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (“Bank Islam”) now offers a seamless electronic payment facility for customers to fulfil their Zakat Fitrah obligation during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The SnapNPay mobile app is made available through partnerships with our strategic partners, SnapNPay Digital Sdn Bhd (“SNPD”) and eleven (11) participating Zakat Authorities. The service is open to everyone and not limited to Bank Islam’s customers. Through the app, registration or personal details are not required. Instead, an e-mail address is sufficient to complete the transaction. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 88 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 5,113 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (76.02% of total cumulative cases). Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia A total of 70 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 6,726 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,504 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have been isolated and provided treatment. Of these 70 additional cases reported today, thirteen (13) are imported cases . The remaining 57 cases are due to local transmission. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 96 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 5,025 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (75.50% of total cumulative cases). Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia A total of 67 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 6,656 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,523 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have been isolated and provided treatment. Currently, 18 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU) , and of these, 6 cases are on ventilation support . Fortunately, there is no (0) additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 108 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.62% of total cumulative cases).
