Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [8 June 2020]

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 20 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,694 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (80.37% of total cumulative cases). A total of 7 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,329 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,518 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment. Of the 7 additional cases reported today, two (2) are imported cases who were infected overseas. Of the 5 locally transmitted cases, all cases are amongst Malaysians. Currently, six (6) confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and one (1) cases are on ventilation support. Malaysia Airlines Increases Domestic and Reinstates International Connectivity

Malaysia Airlines has increased its domestic and international connectivity beginning June and July respectively, to facilitate essential travels locally and as other countries begin to lift border restrictions. The airline will adjust its network capacity from time to time to ensure passenger demandsare met, prior to normalizing the schedule in October for both domestic and international destinations. The resumption of services will allow families who have not been able to return to their loved ones due to travel restrictions in many parts of the world to reunite. Cumulatively, 6,674 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (80.20% of total cumulative cases). A total of 19 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,322 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,531 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment. Of the 19 additional cases reported today, six (6) are imported cases who were infected overseas. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 25 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,635 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (79.9% of total cumulative cases). A total of 37 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,303 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,551 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment.  Of the 37 additional cases reported today, eight (8) are imported cases who were infected overseas. Of the 29 locally transmitted cases, 19 cases are non-Malaysians and 10 cases are amongst Malaysians. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 51 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,610 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (80% of total cumulative cases). A total of 19 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,266 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,540 active and infective COVID-19 cases .   Of these 19 additional cases reported today, 7 are imported cases . The remaining 12 cases are due to local transmission of which three (3) cases are locally transmitted cases among non-Malaysians and the remaining nine (9) cases are transmitted among Malaysians. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 28 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,559 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (79.5% of total cumulative cases). A total of 277 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. There are only four (4) locally transmitted cases among Malaysians . There are 271 cases among non-Malaysians, and only two (2) imported cases among Malaysians who were infected overseas. Cumulatively there are now 8,247 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,573 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment. A total of 270 cases among non-Malaysians are from the Bukit Jalil Immigration Detention Centre, and these are from repeated testing of detainees under quarantine in this detention centre.
