Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [14 May 2020]
The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 70 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 5,351 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (78.47% of total cumulative cases). Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia A total of 40 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 6,819 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,356 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have been isolated and provided treatment. Of these 40 additional cases reported today, zero (0) are imported cases . The remaining 40 cases are due to local transmission. Currently, 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU) , and of these, 4 cases are on ventilation support. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 58 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 5,281 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (77.90% of total cumulative cases). Current Situation of COVID-19 in Malaysia A total of 37 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 6,779 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,387 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have been isolated and provided treatment. Of these 37 additional cases reported today, four (4) are imported cases . The remaining 33 cases are due to local transmission. AirAsia implements end-to-end contactless procedures for essential travel
AirAsia will be rolling out several contactless procedures for essential travel including contactless payments at the airport, contactless kiosks, Passenger Reconciliation System (PRS) as well as enhanced features on its mobile app to help ensure a smooth and safe travel experience. The airline has set up contactless payment options including Wave payments for AliPay and WeChat Pay at klia2 in Malaysia, which will include other airports gradually. Bank Islam Encourages Zakat Fitrah Payment Via SnapNPay for Customers’ Convenience
Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (“Bank Islam”) now offers a seamless electronic payment facility for customers to fulfil their Zakat Fitrah obligation during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The SnapNPay mobile app is made available through partnerships with our strategic partners, SnapNPay Digital Sdn Bhd (“SNPD”) and eleven (11) participating Zakat Authorities.
