Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [9 June 2020]

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 281 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,975 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (83.67% of total cumulative cases). A total of 7 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,336 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,244 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment. Of the 7 additional cases reported today, six (6) are imported cases who were infected overseas. The remaining 1 locally transmitted case are amongst the non-Malaysian. Currently, six (6) confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and one (1) cases are on ventilation support. Malaysia Airlines has increased its domestic and international connectivity beginning June and July respectively, to facilitate essential travels locally and as other countries begin to lift border restrictions. The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 25 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 6,635 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered (79.9% of total cumulative cases). A total of 37 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 8,303 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 1,551 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment.  Of the 37 additional cases reported today, eight (8) are imported cases who were infected overseas.
