Current statistics of COVID-19 in Malaysia [19 April 2020]

A total of 84 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 5,389 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  95 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 3,197 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 59.32% of total cumulative cases). Currently, 46 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 26 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 89 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.65 % of total cumulative cases).

#StayAtHome Simple & Easy Recipe During MCO: Coconut & Pandan Rice by Ayam Brand

Ingredients 200g of long grain rice pinch of salt 250ml water (1 cup) 4 pandan (screw pine) leaves, knotted or bundled 1 pack Ayam Brand™ Coconut Milk 200ml Method If you have rice cooker, put everything into it and stir to dissolve salt. Place the lid, turn on cooker and cook your rice. If you don't have one, put everything into a thick bottomed pot and stir gently to dissolve salt. Bring to the boil over medium heat till most of the liquid has evaporated and venting holes start to appear on the surface of the rice. Put lid on and reduce heat to minimum. Leave the rice to finish cooking for about 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and leave to rest for another 20 minutes. With a fork, gently separate the cooked grains. This coconut rice can be served with plenty of Asian recipes. It is the base for the famous Nasi Lemak. It is just nice to match the hotness of some Asian stews and stir fries!

A total of 54 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 5,305 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  135 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 3,102 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 58.47% of total cumulative cases). Currently, 49 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 26 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, two (2) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 88 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.66 % of total cumulative cases).

#StayAtHome Simple & Easy Recipe During MCO: Sardines Pasta by Ayam Brand

Ingredients 1 can Ayam Brand™ Sardines in Tomato Sauce 155g 200g spaghetti (or any pasta of choice) 1 onion, diced 2 cloves finely chopped garlic 10g coriander, chopped 1 tbsp tomato sauce (optional) 50g grated cheese Method PREPARATION - Peel and dice the onion. Then chop the garlic and the coriander. BOILING - We boil the water and once the water is boiling, put in some salt in the water and add in the spaghetti. Stir it occasionally until the pasta is cooked according to packet cooking instructions ( you can add one or two minutes if you like the pasta softer ) FRYING - While the pasta are cooking, start to sauté the onions. Then add in the garlic. Add and stir in the sardines and the tomato sauce. Let it simmer for around 2 minutes. PRESENTATION - Put some pasta on the plate and pour the sauce onto the pasta. Then sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and chopped coriander

A total of 69 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 5,251 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  201 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 2,967 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 56.50% of total cumulative cases). Currently, 51 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 26 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, two (2) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 86 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.64 % of total cumulative cases).

Ingredients 1/2 cup oil 1 sprig curry leaves 1 can of Ayam Brand™ Mackerel in Tomato Sauce 425g 1 tomato, quartered 2 ladies fingers, diced 1 small brinjal, diced 1/4 cup tamarind juice 200ml Ayam Brand™ Coconut Milk Salt & pepper Mix and Grind 5 shallots 4 cloves garlic 2cm piece of ginger 2 tbsp Fish Curry Powder Method In a pot, heat up the oil and stir fry the curry leaves. Then add in the ground ingredients from the blender. Use rubber spatula to scrap off all the bumbu and stir fry it until fragrant. Add the tomatoes, the ladies fingers and the brinjal pieces. Then add the tomato sauce from the mackerel can, the tamarind juice and half of the coconut cream and season to taste. For a rich curry, allow the gravy to thicken. Then add the mackerel and the balance of coconut cream to keep the coconut aroma. A total of 110 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 5,182 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  119 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 2,766 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 53.38% of total cumulative cases). Currently, 56 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 29 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 84 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.62 % of total cumulative cases).

Ingredients 1 can Chunks Tuna in Olive Oil (with oil) 4 Idaho / Russet potato, peeled and cut into 1 inch cube 1 tbsp paprika powder or chilli powder 2 red onions, diced Salt to taste Oil for cooking 2 stalks fresh coriander, chopped Method Toss potatoes with paprika or chilli powder. Heat 50ml oil in a non-stick pan and fry potatoes until light brown. Add in onions and tuna and continue frying until potatoes are cooked. Adjust seasoning with a little salt and serve with some chopped fresh coriander or parsley. Tip: This can be a dish on its own or eaten as a side to a beef steak, or tossed in a salad.

A total of 85 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 5,072 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia.  169 cases have fully recovered and discharged well today. Cumulatively, 2,647 confirmed COVID-19 cases have fully recovered and discharged well ( 52.19% of total cumulative cases). Currently, 56 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in intensive care units (ICU), and of these, 32 cases are on ventilation support. Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH. Cumulatively, there are now 83 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia ( 1.64 % of total cumulative cases).

#StayAtHome Simple & Easy Recipe During MCO: Fried Sardine Roll by Ayam Brand

Ingredients 425g Ayam Brand Sardines in Tomato Sauce, mashed Juice of 2 limes  2 tbsp red chili (optional) 1 onion, chopped Sandwich breads 2 eggs, beaten Breadcrumbs Salt and pepper to taste Oil for frying Method In a bowl, pour the sardines in and mash. Add the chopped chili and chopped onion. Squeeze the lime juice in and mix it all together. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spread the sardines mix on a slice of bread and roll carefully. Dip in the beaten eggs and roll it on the breadcrumbs till covered. Fry till brown. Serve while still warm.
