Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [21 October 2020]

  The Ministry of Health (MOH) is pleased to inform that today Malaysia reported 580 COVID-19 recovery cases. Therefore, cumulatively 14,931 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (65% of total cumulative cases).   A total of 732 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 22,957 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 7,827 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment.   Of the 732 additional cases reported today, eight (8) is an imported case who was infected overseas.   Currently, 102 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 31 patients on ventilation support .   Regretfully, six (6) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. British Council relaunches arts grant to seed online cultural exchanges between the UK and Malaysia

Applications for the latest round of the British Council’s Connections Through Culture (CTC) opens 16 October to 08 November 2020. The programme is a bilateral grants programme designed to seed exciting cultural exchanges between artists and arts organisations, and nurture cooperation and long-lasting relationships between the United Kingdom, and for 2020-2021, five Southeast Asian countries: Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. Connections Through Culture was created in Southeast Asia in August 2019 to promote arts and cultural exchange between the UK and Southeast Asia. This British Council arts grant is a first-of-its kind project to spark innovative ways for participants from five Southeast Asian countries and the UK to collaborate through the arts. Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [20 October 2020]

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 634 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 14,351 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.6% of total cumulative cases).   A total of 862 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 22,225 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 7,681 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment.   Of the 862 cases reported today, two (2) is an imported case who was infected overseas.   Currently, 95 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 29 patients on ventilation support .   Regretfully, three (3) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 193 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (0.87% of total cumulative cases).

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 455 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 13,717 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.2% of total cumulative cases).   A total of 865 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 21,363 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 7,456 active and infective COVID-19 cases . The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 701 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 13,262 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64.7% of total cumulative cases).   A total of 871 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are 20,498 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 7,049 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment.   Of the 871 cases reported today, five (5) is an imported case who was infected overseas. Currently, 86 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 28 patients on ventilation support .   Regretfully, seven (7) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 187 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (0.9% of total cumulative cases).

The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 302 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 12,561 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (64% of total cumulative cases).   A total of 869 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today, all local transmission cases. Cumulatively there are 19,627 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 6,886 active and infective COVID-19 cases . They have all been isolated and given treatment.   Of the 869 local transmission cases, 745 cases are Malaysians and 124 cases are non-Malaysians.   Currently, 91 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 30 patients on ventilation support .   Regretfully, four (4) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today.
